FEMA, DHS say Salem aims to ‘obstruct President Trump’s agenda’ with lawsuit

Last week, the city of Salem accused the Trump administration of illegally withholding federal disaster relief funds to force adherence to federal immigration enforcement and anti-diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

In response, spokespeople for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and U.S. Department of Homeland Security said that Salem is attempting to block the White House’s efforts to eliminate fraud and arrest undocumented immigrants.
