Salem seeks volunteers to collect data for heat mapping initiative to pinpoint hotspots

Salem residents will have the opportunity to be part of an effort later this month to help the city identify where more trees and greenspace are needed to keep the city cool and steady through heat waves. 

For the work, people will drive around the city with special equipment to collect data on temperatures around Salem.
