PHOTOS: Salem Reporter’s favorite photos of the year

Salem Reporter staff put together a compilation of their favorite photos of this year. The photos span from the start of the pandemic to racial justice protests to the wildfires that hit the region in September.

Each of these images tell a story. A senior class that saw their graduation altered because of Covid. People putting their livestock at the fairgrounds after evacuating a wildfire. A crowd thrusting their fists into the air during a racial justice demonstration that drew thousands.
