If you took a walk by Riverfront Park today, you may have seen some heavy machinery with a toddler at the wheel, among a crowd of city vehicles.

The gathering was Salem Service Day, which was previously Public Works Day, an event recognizing city staff and services from different departments. The event brought trucks, an inflatable museum, drones and hotdogs to Salem’s waterfront.
