A new city festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is in the works – and planners want your help to put it on.

Salem’s parks department is planning Viva Salem! All United, a free family-friendly event for Sept. 23. It will include performers, vendors and food and aims to celebrate Latino culture.

Volunteers are needed on the day of the event. Those interested should fill out the volunteer form and email it to [email protected] or deliver a copy to the Public Works Department, 555 Liberty Street SE, Room 325, Salem, OR 97301.
