Good morning, Salem.

One of our city’s signature events begins today. The Salem Art Fair & Festival will fill the upper meadows of Bush’s Pasture Park starting at 10 a.m. Friday and running through Sunday evening.

A few things you may not know about this celebration of all things creative:

  • Admission is free for anyone receiving SNAP or Oregon Health Plan – just bring your card to the gate for admission.
  • There are live dance and music performances all weekend, including children’s aerial dance. Check out the schedule on the event website.
  • The festival draws artists from across the country – of the 200+ participating, just 11 are from Salem.
