Wildlife officials kill West Salem coyote following multiple reported sightings

Federal officials killed a coyote following a reported daytime attack near West Salem, but DNA later showed the incident involved two domestic dogs, and no coyote. The decision to kill the animal was a result of multiple reports of concerning coyote behavior made leading up to the attack and in the time after.
