Good morning, Salem.

City councilors tonight will discuss downtown public safety at a 6 p.m. meeting at the library’s Loucks Auditorium. They won’t make any decisions, but are likely to discuss bringing back a downtown police bike patrol, among other things.

It’s been a major topic of discussion in recent weeks, with discussions ranging from unsheltered homelessness to vandalism and threats.
