State justice department weighs in on Salem Health-Santiam deal
Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield will hear public feedback on the proposed deal between Salem Health and Santiam Hospital before deciding its fate.
The two hospitals have been seeking initial approval from the Oregon Health Authority since February. Earlier this month, hospital leaders asked to withdraw their filing from review and instead requested an emergency green light by Aug. 1.
