About This Event
Join us for a fun and creative stencil workshop! You'll get a 6" by 12" sheet of vinyl stencils of your choice, step-by-step guidance on how to apply your stencils to bisqueware, and the chance to decorate and glaze your own project.
Day One: You'll browse a variety of stencil images from our resource files and pick your favorites—between 6 and 10, depending on their size—to fit your 6" x 12" sheet. Jim will show you how easy and fun it is to apply a stencil and use underglaze.
Day Two: You'll cut out your chosen stencils from the vinyl sheet and attach them to your bisque ware piece. Next, you'll add vibrant underglaze, peel off the stencil to reveal your design, touch up if needed, and finish by glazing your mug, ready for its final firing!
What's included: Each student gets a bisque mug, a custom set of stencils to fit a 6" x 12" vinyl sheet, underglaze and glaze firing for one mug. Want to bring your own piece to decorate? You'll be responsible for the final firing cost for any personal items.
