Despite sweltering temperatures in the low 90s, thousands of people showed up the afternoon of Saturday, June 13, to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride and visibility in downtown Salem.
Community members brought their own Pride flags, costumes and handheld folding fans to brighten Salem Capital Pride’s annual celebration. The parade started near the Oregon State Capitol, and ended with a block party in the heart of downtown which featured free crafts, activities and drag performances.
