UPDATE: Nordyke appears headed to win in Salem mayor’s race

UPDATE 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 20 – Vanessa Nordyke, a Salem city councilor and attorney, appears headed to election as Salem’s next mayor, based on the latest results early Wednesday from county clerks. Nordyke was leading Mayor Julie Hoy 56% to 44%. Nordyke had 13,541 votes to Hoy’s 10,555.
