Heart clinic privately settles monopoly lawsuit with Salem Health

Salem Health has privately settled a lawsuit with a local cardiology clinic that claimed the health care giant was monopolizing heart care in the city.

Salem Health has a monopoly (that is what I call it, don’t know about the legal definition) on healthcare here in Salem. It is next to impossible to find a doctor that is not tied to them. Doctors not associated with Salem Health are not taking new patients, their insurance or they have a limit on the age of the patients. In the last few years my family doctor of 20 years retired, my Urologist moved out of state and I really think it was because of Salem Health taking over their practices.
