A rally and march unfolded in Salem as local residents on Friday, June 24, reacted to the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn an earlier decision providing for a constitutional right to an abortion.

The event was promoted on Facebook but no organization took credit for organizing the event.

The Salem protest was one of several across the state. Abortion rights are provided in Oregon law so the Supreme Court decision won’t have an impact on services in the state.
