Good evening, Salem.

Our city was jolted by the kind of violence rarely seen in Salem – a robbery gone bad, a police response, a gun fight, and a dead suspect.

The audio of the gunfire on Monday morning on Southeast Commercial Street at Kuebler Boulevard is chilling. Shot after shot after shot – heard by people in a broad area of south Salem.

In such circumstances, getting information is a challenge and at Salem Reporter we want to share only want we can verify. Reporter Ardeshir Tabrizian responded to the location soon after the shooting to personally observe the circumstances and report for readers.
