Good evening….

Of course, the first official day of spring on Monday was typically Oregon – wet.

But hang on. Salem is supposed to be mostly sunny and hit near 60 on Tuesday. Now, that’s something to look forward to.

The city enjoyed good weather over the weekend and photographer Laura Tesler dropped in on the Cherry Blossom Day events at the Capitol. The event was part of Capitol History Gateway, a project of the Oregon State Capitol Foundation.

Meantime, interested in driving a school bus, helping in the classroom or working as a school custodian? The Salem-Keizer School District has scheduled a job fair for 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the district headquarters at 2450 Lancaster Dr. N.E. The district has numerous openings for both full time and part time work. The job fair is a chance for folks to learn about the jobs and maybe even land an interview.
