If the spring weather has you thinking about gardening, you can also support some local high school students. The Salem-Keizer Future Farmers of America chapter, based at McKay High School, is taking pre-orders for their spring plant sale.
Plants can be picked up May 1, and options include vegetable starts, herbs and flowers. The starts are grown by students in the school greenhouse.
