LEGISLATURE: There’s a flurry of activity in the final days of the legislative session as lawmakers wrap up their work. A transportation funding package, a major Democratic priority, was dead as of Friday morning, OPB reported, leaving major questions about the future of road maintenance across the state.
SALEM CHANGES: Paid downtown parking takes effect July 10, and city ambulance services switches over to the Salem Fire Department next week.
WEATHER: Sunny skies are ahead all weekend, with temperature climbing through Monday. Saturday’s high is 80 and Sunday’s is 89, according to the National Weather Service. Plan on sunscreen and hats if you’re spending time outside!
