As many in the community know, a man went on a rampage, stabbing a dozen people at Salem’s Union Gospel Mission Sunday night.
The incident gained national attention, with key details including the number of victims shifting as police and Union Gospel Mission leaders released more information.
Police named a Bend man traveling through Salem as a suspect. He arrived in town Saturday, police said, and had stayed at the shelter the night before the stabbing but wasn’t well known to staff.
