City fire crews responded on Monday afternoon to a vegetation fire at the intersection of Northeast Portland Road and Northeast Hyacinth Street.
The one-alarm fire is now contained, according to Brian Carrara, Deputy Chief of Administrative Services.
The Salem Police Department has asked drivers to find alternative routes.
