Good evening, Salem.

There’s some good news in Salem’s art scene today – Willamette Art Center has a new home.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

The ceramics studio had to vacate its longtime space at the Oregon State Fairgrounds at the end of June after the fairgrounds opted not to renew the lease. Later this summer, they’ll reopen in a larger space in southeast Salem.

Reporter Abbey McDonald has that story below.

In federal news, the Senate passed President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful bill” that to make sweeping cuts to social service programs including Medicaid while spending more on deportation and extending tax cuts. It still has to pass the House.
