Good evening, Salem.

Do you have a green thumb, or want to practice your way to one?

The city of Salem is hosting a rose pruning workshop at Bush’s Pasture Park on Saturday for people who are interested in exercising their gardening skills or trying it out for the first time.

Experienced volunteers and staff from the city’s Parks and Recreation Department will be available to share advice and provide training throughout the workshop, which will be from 12-2 p.m. The workshop will take place at Bush Park’s Municipal Rose Garden.

Around half of the workshop’s 40 spots are still available, and people can sign up for it online here. The park is located at 600 Mission St. S.E. Email [email protected] for more information.
