This is also the last weekend before many holiday gift and Adopt-a-Family programs stop accepting donations. We published a roundup of ways to help local families in need before Thanksgiving and wanted to share it again in case it inspires any weekend shopping.

One addition: Punx with Purpose, the nonprofit serving youth in downtown Salem, is seeking sponsors for holiday gifts and dinners for its youth. More information is here, and the deadline is Dec. 12.
