Woodburn man arrested for October shooting at south Salem pub
A Woodburn man was arrested Thursday on accusations of attempted murder for a shooting at a south Salem pub in October.
Salem police officers took Isaac Gallegos, 21, into custody early Thursday morning, almost two months after a shooting where he is accused of trying to kill two people.
Gallegos is accused of attempted murder, attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangering a person and unlawful firearm possession, according to the Marion County jail roster.
On Oct. 11, a man shot at two people at Lucky’s Pub, 3195 Liberty Rd. S., a statement from the Salem Police Department said. Police estimate that the shooting happened around 2:24 a.m., department spokesman Sgt. Jon Hardy said.
The man had been involved in a disturbance at the pub and left before returning for the shooting, according to police. Neither of the intended victims was injured in the shooting, police said.
While investigating the shooting, detectives identified Gallegos as the suspect and issued a search warrant for his home in Woodburn, the statement said.
SWAT officers arrested him in Woodburn Thursday morning and located two loaded handguns at his apartment, according to police. He remains in custody at the Marion County Jail.
