If you like canoes or care about the Willamette River, local riverkeepers could use your help.

Volunteers will clean up trash under the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge on Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Trash cleaners will meet at Wallace Marine Park, 200 Glenn Creek Rd N.W., launching canoes from the boat ramp.

The event, organized by Willamette Riverkeeper, requires preregistration. Sign up online here. You may bring your own canoe or reserve one.
