Good evening, Salem.
Earlier this summer, we wrote about Salem Swim Club, a popular nonprofit program making competitive swimming more accessible to local kids and teens.
With a new partnership with the Salem Tennis & Swim Club, the program is adding more space for intermediate swimmers, ages 11-14. Both that group and the senior groups will meet at the South Salem fitness center. Other cohorts will continue to swim at the YMCA in downtown Salem.
Registration is still open for the fall swim season, which will hold its first practice on Monday, Sept. 8. For more information, and to register, see their website. Those interested in a free one-week trial can email coach Victor Brasil at [email protected].
