Good morning, Salem.

This Friday, the Salem City Club is hosting a discussion that will put Marion and Polk County elections “under the microscope.”

The club is hosting Marion County Clerk Bill Burgess and Polk County Clerk Kim Williams, who will talk about what it takes to run a secure election, the adjustments they’ve made and the new challenges their offices face.

The talk will beat the Willamette Heritage Center’s Dye House, at 1313 Mill St. S.E. Friday, Nov. 17. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the program will be from noon to 1 p.m.
