Good morning, Salem.

We’re one day away from a special election that will decide the future of Salem’s budget.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

A proposed payroll tax on the ballot is intended to raise money to keep and expand city services. If approved, the wage tax would affect wage-earning and self-employed Salem workers earning above minimum wage for their work performed within city limits.

Ballots are due by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7. They must be postmarked or returned to a dropbox or county election’s office by the deadline.
