Good morning, Salem.

Marion County officials and local nonprofit leaders will gather Friday morning, April 3, for a car parade to raise awareness about child abuse and prevention.

Anyone is welcome to join the event. Participants will gather at the Oregon State Fairgrounds, 2330 17th St. N.E., to decorate cars from 7:30 to 8:10 a.m., before driving downtown to the Center for Hope and Safety. Cars should enter the fairgrounds off Northeast Sunnyview Road.

The parade will end at the downtown offices of the Center for Hope and Safety, 605 Center St. N.E., where several speakers will address the audience starting at 9 a.m. More information is here.
