Students head back to school this morning, so expect more traffic and keep an eye out for kids walking or biking on the roads.
This weekend, you may also see students in your neighborhood fundraising for Music Day. Held Saturday, Sept. 9, it’s a day for high school bands and music programs to raise money needed for travel, instruments and other costs. (McNary’s fundraiser is Sept. 23.)
Musicians go door-to-door to collect donations Saturday, but you can also donate to programs online or leave a check if you won’t be home. Each school has a band or music booster club, and donations to them are tax deductible.
