Service providers have a new opportunity to raise donations for their work in Marion and Polk counties.
The Willamette Health Council is inviting organizations that serve the region to apply for donations up to $10,000 per request. Recipients are limited to two donations per calendar year.
The council started accepting applications on May 1 and will continue to do so on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Applications received by the 10th of each month are reviewed the next month. The council has not clarified its total funding amount.

Our digital obituary service is now available to anyone. It’s easy to use, more generous with space and photos than most, and priced to be affordable.
We have guidelines and an online form to use, but here are the basics:
*Obituary text has no limit (but no book-length submissions, please).
*Up to five photos can be loaded to share – not just one.
*Obituaries first appear in our obituary section, then in a summary of the week’s obituaries. That summary then appears on our Facebook and Twitter channels.
*The price is a flat $100.
