Good morning, Salem.
The Internal Revenue Service’s Salem office will be open an extra day this week for people who still need help with tax issues after the filing deadline passed.
The office at 1660 Oak St. S.E. will be open on Saturday, May 13, from 9 .m. to 4 p.m.
IRS offices are normally open during the week for scheduled appointments. But the Salem office will accept walk-ins on Saturday for all routine IRS services except making cash payments, according to a news release.
The federal agency asked that people visit IRS.gov before going in person.
