Murder suspect in 2008 Salem shooting extradited from Mexico

Jesus Rodriguez-Borrayo was extradited from Mexico to stand trial in Marion County for the murder of a 21-year-old Keizer man in 2008. At the time, Rodriguez-Borrayo was formally accused of murdering the man but officials couldn’t locate him, believing he’d fled to Mexico.
State issues six-figure fine to drug take back operator

Oregon's Department of Environmental Qualify fined a North Carolina nonprofit nearly $650,000, alleging it failed to operate enough drop sites and events to collect unwanted drugs. The nonprofit is appealing the fines.
