UPDATE: Salem man accused of murdering teen boy charged with shooting at 2 others
A Salem man was charged by a grand jury earlier this month with fatally shooting a 15-year-old boy found dead in a truck on a city street in November. He was indicted Friday on new charges alleging he tried to kill two other people during the same incident.

Polk County faces lawsuit alleging excessive force, negligence caused September fatal police shooting
Police said Jose Corral-Zavala, 21, started a gunfight with officers and then fled in a minivan that stopped nearby before a Polk County sheriff’s deputy fatally shot the driver, Isaac Oceguedo, 18. Now four months later, another passenger and Oceguedo’s family are suing the county over the shooting.
UPDATE: Cyclist dies of injuries sustained in Jan. 11 crash
Salem police said Juan Martinez Barron, 61, was found Jan. 11 night near the intersection of Portland Road and Northeast Northgate Avenue with life-threatening injuries from a bicycle crash. Barron died Saturday morning at Salem Hospital.
