The Latest Stories For You From Salem Reporter

Good morning, Salem.
Do you love art? The Salem Public Art Commission has two new vacancies to fill this year, and whoever steps into the roles will help choose the art that will make Salem brighter for years to come.
The commission is seeking someone passionate about art who has experience in landscape architecture, real estate, community foundations, museum curation, art restoration or art appraisal, according to the city’s Facebook announcement.
It’s not the only commission with vacancies. See the full list of city board and commission openings here.
Also, a correction our headlines email from Thursday evening: the organization putting on the Gen Z panel today is Salem City Club, not Salem Civic Club. Our apologies for the error.
