Chintimini Wildlife Center, the only wildlife rehabilitation facility serving the Salem area, is having its annual fundraiser auction Friday, Sept. 22 starting at 6 p.m.

The wildlife center is located in Corvallis, but became a regional hub for animal rehabilitation last year following the closure of Salem-based Turtle Ridge Wildlife Center. So far this year, they’ve cared for almost as many animals as in all of 2022, executive director Catherine Mendez said.

The auction Friday includes unique animal experiences, including the ability to name an ambassador corn snake or attend a private release of predatory mammals back into the wild.

Tickets are $65 and include a chance to meet animal ambassadors. The event is held at the Philomath Scout Lodge, 660 Clemens Mill Rd. Learn more or buy tickets here.
