Northern Lights Theatre Pub is hosting a free movie weekend with showings of “Barbie,” “Blue Beetle” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” along with free popcorn and swag.

Seats are on a first come, first serve basis and must be purchased in-person at the box office any day this week, and up to around 20 minutes before showtime. The theater is located at 3893 Commercial St. S.E.

The free shows start the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 19, and run through Sunday night. See the theater’s website for showtimes.

A free small popcorn per seat and merchandise from the sponsor, Pluto TV, is included. The event is part of the streaming service’s nationwide free movie weekend to support independent theaters.
