Your Wednesday evening update on Salem news

Good evening, Salem.
Marion County’s website has been down for much of the day Wednesday, and county officials don’t yet have an estimate for fixing it. The site remained offline as of 4:45 p.m.
“We are doing everything in our power to get service restored as quickly as possible,” the county posted on its Facebook page around 11:30 a.m. A county spokesman did not respond to a question about the cause or expected duration of the outage late Wednesday afternoon.
Meantime, people needing to contact a county office can call 503-588-5212.
