Your Tuesday evening update on Salem news

Salem Reporter logo

Good evening, Salem.

If you’re anything like us, you’re eagerly awaiting the results of today’s election.

Our team is gearing up to provide you information about local races, though be aware we may not know the outcome of close races for days, or even weeks.

For an explanation of why, see Managing Editor Rachel Alexander’s column below about how we’re covering Election Night. The link to our results page is also below – we’ll update with vote counts when they’re released shortly after 8 p.m.

And if you haven’t yet returned your ballot, you have until 8 p.m. to get it to a drop box. Marion County has a convenient drive-thru option outside the county’s main office at 555 Court St. N.E. in downtown Salem.

If you’re sick of election news, we’ve got a few other stories below as well. Catch all Salem Reporter’s stories anytime on our website.
