Teen turns himself in after downtown Salem shooting
A 16-year-old is facing criminal charges for a downtown Salem shooting which sent another teenager to the hospital last week, the Salem Police Department announced Tuesday.
The teenager turned himself into the Marion County Juvenile Department on the morning of Tuesday, May 26, police said in a statement. He is now facing first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon charges for the shooting and will be held in Marion County juvenile custody.
