Good evening, Salem.

Our city firefighters are kicking off a series of open houses tomorrow with a chance to visit Station 2 at 875 Madison St. N.E.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.., the station will be open for tours, giveaways while supplies last and safety tips for the whole family. And yes, you can get in a fire truck.

Open houses will continue on Saturdays in October. Here’s the full schedule:

Oct. 11: Station 5 – 1540 Glen Creek Rd. N.W.
Oct. 18: Station 7 – 5021 Liberty Rd. S.
Oct. 25: Station 10 – 3611 State St.
