Your Monday evening update on Salem news

Good evening, Salem.

If you have an idea to help young people, the Rotary Club of Salem might have money for you.

The civic organization’s annual Good Works Large Grant is now taking applications for projects from $5,000 to $30,000. Eligible projects promote the health, education and general welfare of the Salem area, primarily focused on youth. Ideally, the grant is used for projects that are self-sustaining or long-term, rather than used for one-off projects.

People can contact Beth Rhoades for an application or more information at [email protected]. Applications are due by Oct. 8.
