PHOTOS: 7th Englewood Fest brings community together to celebrate art, nature

Englewood Forest Festival brought together thousands on Saturday to celebrate art, enjoy live music and good food beneath the shaded canopy of towering trees in Englewood Park.

This year marks the festival’s seventh run, with over 80 vendors lining the park’s pathways, offering art, education and family fun. Workshops were held throughout the day, teaching kids how to paint, and make terrariums and Piñatas.

Groups like Salem Environmental Education, which brought costumes for children to dress up as pollinators, offered nature learning opportunities, while Chintimini Wildlife Center brought snakes, cockroaches, an American kestrel and a desert tortoise.

Lively crowds formed at both of the festival’s stages to watch dancing, poetry and musical performances. Eight food trucks kept attendees fed with Mexican, Indian, Ghanian and American cuisines.
