UPDATE: City lifts evacuation notice as Salem creeks recede

UPDATE 12:30 p.m. Saturday – Salem city officials said in a Saturday release that water levels in Salem’s creeks continue to recede and all roads and parks are now open.

The release said high water signs remain in certain areas and that water levels on the Willamette River remain higher than normal.

UPDATE 11:15 a.m. Saturday –Water levels in Salem creeks have settled down and an evacuation order has been lifted as of Friday…
