Your guide to 2025 harvest festivals around Salem

With Halloween just around the corner, local farms are setting up scarecrows, pruning pumpkins and greasing tractor wheels for the season. Their annual harvest festivals feature pumpkin patches, hayrides, cute animals, games, live entertainment, mazes and more. 

Here is your guide to this year’s fall festivities:

Bauman’s Farm and Garden

Kicking off its 38th Harvest Festival, Bauman’s Farm & Garden’s is offering a petting zoo, fall-themed games and rides, inflatable trampolines and live entertainment alongside the traditional corn maze, hayrides and pumpkin patch.

On Oct. 4, there will be a pumpkin weighing contest starting at 9 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m pumpkin drop, where a massive pumpkin suspended from a crane will be dropped into a pool of water. The annual cider festival also coincides with the festival on Oct. 25 and 26, where guests can enjoy a weekend of cider tasting. 

Dates: Through Thursday, Oct. 30.

Hours: Tuesday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Mondays.

Cost: Weekday tickets are $20 for ages 3-54 and $15 for 55+, except for Friday, Oct. 10 which has weekend pricing. Weekend tickets are $30 for ages 3-54 and $20 for ages 55+. Tickets are free for ages 2 and under, and can be purchased online.

E.Z. Orchards 

Peruse the pumpkin patch, play games, wander a corn maze or hop on a hayride any day of the week during E.Z. Orchards’ HarvestFest. Between activities, guests can enjoy fresh apple cider and donuts.

On the weekends, the festival also offers horse rides and live music. 

Hayrides are offered after 1 p.m. on the weekdays, except for Friday Oct. 10 and 24 when they are available all day long, as well as the weekends.

Dates: Through Thursday, Oct. 30.

Hours: Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: Weekend admission is $12 per person. Tickets cost $5 per person 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and $7 per person from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Children 2 and under get in free.

Fir Point Farms

With a 5-acre pumpkin patch, 6-acre corn maze, and activities like pumpkin painting, hay wagon rides, bounce houses and a paintball gallery, visitors to Fir Point Farm’s Harvest Festival can enjoy a full day of fall fun. There will also be apple cider donuts, homemade baked treats and alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Dates: Through Thursday, Oct. 30.

Hours: Festival is held Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Outside of the festival, the corn maze and regular farm operations are Wednesday-Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: There is free admission, with paid activities. All day wristbands with unlimited access to activities and games are $30/person. Individual activities or games are $7, while the corn maze is $9.

Fordyce Farm

Guests can enjoy a flurry of activities at Fordyce Farm’s this fall, including a stroll through the corn maze, pumpkin patch or indoor hay maze, and activities like the hay fort, coloring station, playground and more. Weekends will see a food truck, beer truck, hayrides and a haunted corn maze in addition to the weekday activities. 

Family nights will bring kid-friendly frights starting Oct. 2, and every following Thursday night until Oct. 30.

The haunted corn maze will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 3, with $16 per person admission fee.

Hours: Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 12-6 p.m.

Cost: Free admission for entrance and all activities except for the corn maze, haunted corn maze and balloon art activity.

French Prairie Gardens

Slide down a giant slide, ride a tractor wagon, play on an obstacle course, swing on a tire swing or challenge yourself in a farm ninja course at French Prairie Gardens’ Fall Festival. The festival has upwards of 15 activities to go along with their expansive corn mazes, one for adults and one for kids, and a 12-acre pumpkin patch.

Dates: Saturday, Oct. 4 – Friday, Oct. 31

Hours: Tuesday-Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: An all-inclusive wristband is $29.99 for ages 2 and up. For general farm entry, which includes access to the corn mazes, tractor wagon rides and some games, is $19.99. Activities are free for children 1 and under. Tickets are available online

Greens Bridge Gardens

Families can enjoy a variety of activities and farm fun at Greens Bridge Gardens’ Harvest Festival this fall. There will be slides, duck races, the opportunity to visit with farm animals, hayrides, a corn maze and a pumpkin patch. 

Dates: Opened Saturday, Sept. 28. No end date is available online.

Hours: Open daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cost: Bracelets are $14 Monday-Thursday, and $16 Friday-Sunday. Tokens for individual activities are $3 each. Children ages 1 and under get in for free.
