COLUMN: Ospreys in Salem now busy tending to their young

I have been monitoring the three osprey nests I know of in south Salem. One is in Minto-Brown Island Park, one at South Salem High School, the third is at the west terminus of South Madrona Avenue.

I can happily report that each nest is in use and I have confirmed nestlings present.

There are two nestlings atop the nest platform at Minto-Brown.  It’s north of Parking Lot 1 about 150 yards.
