Early Monday morning, Salem police and firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at the Tesla dealership in south Salem.
The dealership is located at 2755 Mission St. S.E. Reports of the fire came in at around 3:45 a.m. Monday, police said in a statement Monday afternoon.
Firefighters put out the vehicle fire, which was contained to one car. In addition to the fire, one of the dealership’s windows was broken.
Federal agents from the FBI’s Portland field office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are on scene assisting Salem police with the case.
The Salem Police Felony Crimes Unit is investigating the case as arson and police are requesting anyone with information about the case to call the tip line at 503-588-8477.
