The National Weather Service is forecasting snow in Salem Monday night through Tuesday morning.
The agency has issued a winter weather advisory for the Portland area between 10 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday. Drivers should plan for slippery road conditions which could impact Tuesday morning commutes, the weather service advised.
Rain is likely and a thunderstorm is possible Monday, with a high near 45, according to the weather service.
The Salem area is expected to see rain and snow Monday night and snow after 11 p.m., with less than 1 inch of snow accumulation possible and a low around 33 degrees.
Snow is likely before 8 a.m. Tuesday, with a chance of snow showers between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and less than a half inch of snow buildup, according to the agency.
