UPDATED: Salem police locate missing teen

Salem police said Friday morning Kaylee Brooks had been located and was waiting to be reunited with family. Original story below.

The Salem police department is seeking the public’s help locating a Salem teenager who went missing Thanksgiving morning.

Kaylee Lien Brooks, 17, left her home in south Salem around 6 a.m. Nov. 24 driving a 2017, white, four-door Toyota Camry with Oregon license plate 263-JSW, Salem police said.

She was last known to be in the Josephine County area, police said.

Brooks is 5’3″ with brown eyes, blonde hair and a thin build. She was last seen wearing a green or gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and white and black sneakers.

Police said Brooks is intellectually delayed and requires medication which she did not take with her.

Anyone who sees Brooks or the vehicle she is driving should contact their local police department immediately. Refer to Salem Police case number 22-26066.
