An outage knocked out power for about 3,400 homes and businesses served by Portland General Electric in northeast Salem Tuesday afternoon.
The utility reported the outage at 12:40 p.m. Power was back on at 2:25 p.m.
Tuesday afternoon has been windy in Salem, with the National Weather Service’s Portland office forecasting a west wind of 10 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
The outage was caused by an “equipment issue,” PGE spokeswoman Marsha Sanchez said.
